There are approximately 7.5 billion people in the world and there are approximately 7.5 billion ways to love. Everyone experiences love differently and love isn’t just shared by a man and a woman in holy matrimony. Love can be shared between you and others, you and yourself, and between you and the world.

During February, the world celebrates this month as a month of love. A month that reminds us to take the time to express our love. Whether you celebrate it traditionally with your loved one or through the latest trends with your Galentines’ or 28 days of self-love, as long as you celebrate it in your own way, February is here to remind us all to fill our lives with love.

Today, on the blog we are encouraging you to write 14 love letters this Valentine’s Day.

You can write 14 letters and send them out to friends, family, loved ones, even strangers or write your love letters to the world.

Either way, we want to encourage you to write 14 letters and share your love with the world.

Here are our 14 Love Letters to the World.

1.) Dear World, we love the way you forgive.

Forgiveness isn’t easy to give, but whenever we fall short the world gives us grace. The world often forgives us before we can even forgive ourselves. The  world forgives without hesitation and within that is our reminder that with forgiveness comes hope, a second chance, a shift towards worthiness.

2.) Dear World, we love the imagination you create.

Imagination is where there are endless possibilities. We get to live in a world where we can live in anywhere we create. We get to explore worlds beyond our reality. We get to experience flying on broomsticks in a game of Quidditch, living as immortals finding everlasting love, fighting crime as superheroes, losing ourselves in a world through a wardrobe. We can escape into worlds of magic, the supernatural, even the final frontier. We love how imagination allows us to create with our minds and take us places we never believed we could.

3.) Dear World, we love the abundance you provide.

Like ideas floating in the universe, all we need to do is be open to receive. All we have to do is ask and the universe will provide. There is an abundance of love, inspiration, ideas, energy constantly surrounding us, providing for us if we are ever in need. If we take a moment to find our awareness, we will see the abundance of life that is encompassing us throughout our entire journey.

4.) Dear World, we love the way the people fight for their freedom.

People face some of the worst times this world has seen, but in the darkness people find their strength. They fight for their rights, their freedom, their free will, their value. Without fail they fight when it is needed most, they come together and they stand strong. There is beauty found deep within that rises to take down what is inhumane.

5.) Dear World, we love that we get to experience unconditional love.

People can go their whole lives without ever experiencing unconditional love. Some may have it right in front of them, but their blindness robs them of ever feeling love that is more powerful than words can grasp. Unconditional love, whether given from a parent, a pet, or a husband/wife, is a love that doesn’t have to be spoken or questioned. A love that is boundless, that is one of the few things in this world you have unwavering certainty in. Unconditional love flows through you providing you with this serenity that there are things in this world that you don’t have to fear, you don’t have to doubt, you are completely surrounded in security. In this world there is a life where unconditional love exists.

6.) Dear World, we love the way you create opportunities.

We live in a world of opportunities. There are chances for us to take around every corner we turn. We’re not just talking about the rags to riches opportunities, we’re talking about the abilities we have to seize the day, take on new experiences, make change, make choices, create paths, chase after dreams, and build the life we want for ourselves. Opportunity comes in all forms and they are handed to us, all we have to do is say yes. Opportunity is what presents us with a life full of experiences that lead us to a life of happiness.

7.) Dear World, we love that we get to experience growth and the lessons you teach.

Growth is what makes our life a journey. Life isn’t full of beauty, strength, passion, and inspiration without the possibility of evolving. Growth is how we become complete, where we find self-discovery, what we need to move through our journey to find purpose. Growth is what has taught us that we have so much to learn in this World. We love the way the world teaches us what we need to learn. The world guides us to show us everything this world has to offer. Lessons are our way of not just existing, but to breathe life into this world.

“The mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for.” -Fyodor Dostoyevsky

We love the way the world works with such intelligence to create lessons for us to learn, teach us growth, and discover experiences on a spiritual and intellectual level.

8.) Dear World, we love the way you send constant reminders to love ourselves.

For many of us, it is a battle we face every day to love ourselves inside and out. We often feel it is the world that has warped our perspective and stripped us of our self-confidence, we blame the world for why we struggle to make peace with who we are. However, the world is always sending us messages, trying to tell us to wake up and realize just how beautiful and gifted our minds, our bodies, and our hearts truly are. The way we were created, the way we evolve, has and always will be a part of the beauty in this world.

“How cool is it that the same God who created mountains and oceans and galaxies looked at you and thought the world needed one of you, too.” -unknown

9.) Dear World, we love the way people come together during tough times.

Just as people stand strong together to fight for their rights, when humanity faces tough times, people unite to support and aid each other. We often say that it is terrible that people only come together when times are tough, but tough times will come whether we come together or not. In those moments, people make a choice, a choice of their own free will to comfort those in despair, rescue those in need, encourage those without hope, provide for those who have lost everything, shelter those who need safety, and inspire those who feel lost and discouraged. We love the way the world comes together because it is these moments that make this world worth believing in.

10.) Dear World, we love the surprises you sprinkle into our daily lives.

The world loves to play, bring joy, make us laugh, and remind us that life isn’t always about the hardships. We love the way the world reminds us to have fun. Surprises remind us that we shouldn’t focus so hard on controlling our journey ahead, but instead let the world bring us twists and turns that we could never have imagined for ourselves. We strive for our hopes and dreams, but life will always find a way to bring us more than we could ever plan for ourselves and even some things we would never have thought we wanted. Never stop surprising us and never let us forget what it means to have fun.

11.) Dear World, we love the sacrifices people are willing to make.

When we hear the word sacrifice it reminds us of this unforgettable quote from Beautiful Creatures,

“I don’t wanna preach today. Instead, I just wanna talk to you. About  a word we don’t hear much anymore: ‘sacrifice.’ It’s not what I’d call a modern word. People hear the word ‘sacrifice’ and people become afraid that something will be taken away from them. Or they’ll have to give up something they can’t live without. Sacrifice to them means loss in a world telling us we can have it all. But I believe true sacrifice is a victory because it requires our free will to give up something or someone you love for something or someone you love more than yourself. I won’t lie to you. It’s a gamble. Sacrifice won’t take away the pain of loss. But it wins the battle against bitterness. The bitterness that dims the light on all that is of true value in our lives.”

Sacrifice isn’t always about risking your life to save someone else or something being taken away from you. Sacrifice is a way to declare your love, your protection, your selflessness. Making the choice to show others that they matter, that the wellbeing of someone is more valuable than greed and wealth is exactly that, a choice. No matter how big or small someone’s act of kindness is, their sacrifice to make a difference is a choice, and watching people in this world choose sacrifice over selfishness is underappreciated. People willing to make sacrifices are people of integrity and integrity is “doing the right thing whether anyone is going to know whether you did it or not.” Sacrifices are made every day, we just don’t see them. That’s why we love the way people make sacrifices, like touches of magic in our everyday life without ever asking for anything in return.

12.) Dear World we love the way you make us work hard for the things we dream.

If you have ever chased after a dream you know it takes hard work and perseverance. Every day you strive to get closer and closer to your dreams and these will often be the toughest days of your life. Hard work teaches us many lessons, but what we love most about the way the world makes us fight for what we want is that we earn our dreams. We earn our place in this world and we can stand at the top of our mountains and prove to ourselves that we are capable and we can know how it truly feels to be accomplished. We love how we can become the champions of our own paths and no one can take that away from you.

13.) Dear World we love the ability to connect wholeheartedly with others.

Humanity has a special gift, to be able to connect emotionally with one another. We can use our words to lift each other up, share in our emotions and experiences, express love.

Wholehearted living is “choosing to live and love with our whole hearts…to engage in our lives openly with vulnerability to transform the way we live, love, lead, and connect” [-Brene Brown].

We need connection in order to thrive, to feel fulfilled. Some of the best memories in our lives are because of the people we shared them with. The way others make us laugh, the way they make us feel like we are not alone, that we matter, that we are loved. Wholehearted connection is when you can sit around a table with friends and leave with a full heart feeling better, even inspired. Wholehearted connection is those moments where you have his big grin on your face, you can’t stop smiling because someone else out there understands you. Wholehearted connection is when you’re with someone and you hope this moment never ends. We love that the world fills our lives with these moments.

14.) Dear World, we love the emotions that allow us to fully experience the world we live in.

People find emotions overwhelming, burdening, even intimidating. These are the people that have it all wrong. Emotions are what allow us to feel the life that surrounds us, even breathe through us. They are the reason the views outside our windows take our breath away. They are the reason why we can overcome our fears courageously. Emotions transport us through the journeys of others. You’ll never feel more alive than when you immerse yourself in feeling everything the world has to offer. We love the way the world uses emotions to allow us to not just exist but to live.

Gratitude is a mindset and one that takes practice to build. There are so many things in this world we can be grateful for, but the biggest challenge is learning to notice the good side to the not so great things.

Learn to see things in a different perspective, be grateful for the overlooked, the unappreciated, the “that’s a naive way to look at” things.

Because taking the time to be full of gratitude, to change the negative into positive, can be the steps that guide you to finding more joy in your life.

Writing 14 love letters this Valentine’s Day will not only remind you the things you are grateful for, but help spread love and appreciation to others.

This holiday let your love be infectious, remind yourself, others, and the world how much love there is to go around.

Make someone else feel loved this holiday season.
